Scirra LTD licence in the HTML5 code?

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Tue Jan 10, 2012 1:34 pm

Hello world!
I've got a little question.
In the code of the exported HTML5 projects it says:

<!-- SCIRRA LTD LICENSE AGREEMENT FREE EDITION USERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO REMOVE, MODIFY OR HIDE THE FOLLOWING LINES OF HTML5 CODE FROM THEIR EXPORTED GAMES. REMOVAL, MODIFICATION OR ATTEMPTS TO HIDE THIS MESSAGE WILL BE IN BREACH OF THE FREE EDITION LICENSE -->
<!-- End of Scirra Ltd. free edition limitation -->
[the link to Scirra is here]

In the previous version it said that the link is optional, and now the link is not inside the "License protected area", is this an error (typo) or will it be used in the future. I'm asking it because I want to know if I am allowed to remove the link.

I'm sorry if this topic already exists, but I didn't find it. I'm also sorry if I'm in the wrong category.RecGames2012-01-10 13:36:16

We have decided to require that projects exported with the free edition preserve the link to scirra.com beneath the canvas. We think this is fair given we've worked hard for a long time to develop Construct 2 and sending a little traffic our way from your creations surely isn't asking too much If you have a license, you're not required to have any link.

What if you are using multiple elements, and what if its not a game?
