As of now, I see no way of adding a native scrollbar to your application or game. So I guess I'll request this...

It would be pretty useful in making certain simple applications, or level editors

I just made an example implementing scrollbars for you.

Get it here:

Its nice, but I was hoping that we get a plugin so we have OS native scrollbars, so they'll look like the scrollbars from the current OS you're using...

But this will be useful for ingame scrollbars that need to be custom themed.

Thanks

Supposedly the problem with those OS native controls, is that they don't play nice with DirectX or something, and everyone always recommends making your own rather than using the OS ones.

the problem with windows controls is they are always rendered on top of things not matter what layer they are on.

Which wouldn't be a problem for scrollbars, I don't think. Wouldn't you always want them on top anyway?

My guess is that system scrollbars would mean you would always be rendering a big image and then showing part of it, making it really slow.

Notice how few hardware accelerated applications use system scrollbars.

They'd work in windowed mode, but I think they might stop the message pump in the application, so some things would stop while it was being dragged. It would render okay though.
