SDK without Construct2

For developers using the Construct 2 Javascript SDK

Post » Thu Dec 27, 2012 3:00 pm

Hi,

is there a way and documentation how to use the SDK without the construct2 builder.
I feel much better with directly programming against a API instead of building parts of
my game in some builder and parts of it in some plugins.

I am really interested in the html engine as you guys are claiming its so fast ;-)

Short answer, no.
I think you misunderstand what the C2 SDK is. It's intended to make plugins to expand the C2 engine's functionality. I think you might imagine it as a set of APIs to give you access to the C2 engine and allow you to code your game entirely in JavaScript. The SDK is not that.

Take rexrainbow's advice. Look for another game engine which offers a set of APIs for you to build your own game by direct coding in a 3G programming language.

You may want to look into melonJS. Good luck with whatever you decide on though! :)

If you have experience in Flash, try the FlashJS api/engine to code HTML5 games with ActionScript syntax. Here's the website: http://flashjs.com/
"Construct 4 lets YOU make advanced games! (maybe)" Construct Classic - Examples Kit
