  • I have a very basic project for a battle system that I have been working on. I started this project somewhere around the r90's, I cannot remember. This always worked fine. I don't know what release post r100 caused the project to literally go nuts. Animations will not play, the system does not respect pauses between animations either. I did not change a thing since last time.

    I am at a loss.

    Here is the working project:

    Working

    Here is how the project works with the latest release:

    Buggy

    Arrows Left or right = Move

    Arrow down = Crouch

    Shift = Jump

    Z = Attack (keep pressing for combo)

    Space + arrow = Run

    X = Special

    Arrow up (hold) + Z = Attack modifier (after the third combo attack)

  • Have you read all the intervening changelogs and their breaking changes?

    It would be useful to narrow it down to a specific build that broke it, because there have been hundreds of changes in the time span you describe. It might also help you to stay up to date with beta releases, so you can report breakages when they happen rather than a long time after.

    Yeah, I always read the changes before installing a beta. I have been installing betas since they started. Nothing seemed like it should have been of concern to me.

    The reason why I don't know exactly which version broke it, it's because I hadn't had time to work on this for a while. I know r100 did not break it though, it worked fine with it and that was the last time I worked on it.

    I will go back to r100 and work my way up and let you know which one breaks it.

  • Ashley: Okay, it's r105 that breaks it. It seems to be working fine with all others.

  • It may be a known bug in r105 with animations not playing properly. That specific issue should be fixed in the next build.

  • Oh alright. That's good to know. Thanks Ashley.

  • I had a "problem" with r105 with animations too but, in the end, it was my fault: animations were set as "start from beginning" while it should have been "start from current frame". This was also discussed in some other thread.

    May be this is the case with your code too?

    cheers!
