  • Hi All!

I had a go at putting one of my games in the Scirra Arcade in the Chrome Web Store:

    Chrome WS Link

It's basically my attempt at recreating the horror and creepiness from Slender, only from a 2D perspective.

    Please have a go at downloading it and give me some upvotes! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle"> <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle">

Feel free to give me some feedback, I'd really like to do a bit more with this game.

  • Nice scary effects ! But i am not sure how to play or what to do , may be i am dumb <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I really love the title screen art !

Did you do it by yourself ?

  • Whiteclaws - Thanks! But, sadly no I got most of it from opengameart.org

    - Thanks! No you're not dumb - I may have been a little vague about the objectives :) You basically have to collect all of the scrolls scattered over the level. They are usually glowing, and there are some light particle effects on them. Once you have all of them you'll be prompted to return to your car to escape.

  • oh I see , Top-Down slender :D ! Sweet !

  • Try Construct 3

  • Nice Game! Though, on my first try, I found a scroll and then ran straight into something and died. You should try to make Shadowman more visible or something. May I ask, how did you add that cool static-like screen effect?

  • Thanks InvaderX :) I deliberately made the bad guy hard to see to add to the tension - that was something I got from playing Slender.

The static is done from the webGL effect - pixelate mask that I applied to a rectangular sprite that covers the screen. I crank up the intensity in proportion to the distance of the shadowman to the player.
