Character Sprite Pack: Walk 4 Directions made in illustrator
  • Sorry if this topic has been covered already, but I've been struggling with this problem for awhile now and I haven't been able to find a solution. I am making a top-down shooter and I want a sprite to be able to shoot in four directions. I am controlling the sprite with WASD (8-Direction movement), and I want to shoot in four directions corresponding to the arrow keys (Up shoots up, down shoots down, etc). I want to have the same controls as "The Binding Of Isaac."

I currently have each arrow key shooting from a different image point on the "player" sprite, except the bullets move to the right side of the screen regardless.

Here's a link to my .capx if my explanation wasn't good enough. Thanks for the help!

  • I may be new to this, but I don't see where you set an angle for your bullet.

"Set Angel to 90 degrees" Will shoot your bullets down... do similar for the other angles.

  • Ahhh, I knew i slipped up somewhere. I am new to this as well, and I need all the help I can get sometimes. Thanks a lot.
