If you for example are creating a space game with a bunch of diferent star-sprites, it can sometimes be easy to lose the stars in the layout editor. wouldn't it be nice to be able to change the image that is displayed in the layout editor?

You could always just make your default animation whatever icon you want, then at runtime do "Start of layout > StarSprite > Change animation to 'stars'."

Yeah, i used that in mmf a lot, but it gets annoying after a while. I think it's of enough use to deserve a simpler way.

The way i make stars is to run a loop at the start of the frame that creates them at random positions, i dont do it manually.

A bit off topic though, but do i care? Nahh

I'm pretty sure you already can. Under common there are options to change the icons used in the layout editor, specifically "icon" and "small icon" or something. Although you could be talking about something else, in which case that's worthless. :P

He means on the layout itself, not how it shows up in the event editor or in the layers tab or whatever.
