I had a brief loading time (About 10-15 seconds) and then a solid 50 FPS with canvas2d on Google Chrome, I'm not seeing a problem? Were you using a certain browser?

It may have been useful to mention the iPhone in the first post

What did you use to export? I had bad results with AppMobi and PhoneGap, but great results with CocoonJS. I also got poor results with the preview over LAN, but great results on my iPad playing the html file from my server.

I just tried with my iPad, incredibly the results are actually better than Chrome on a laptop(!) Started at 15 FPS before spiking to 83, and is now hitting an average of 60-65 consistently on the Safari browser.

If you're having trouble with iPhone you may want to read up optimisation for mobile devices.

iPhone != iPhone

First of all: Which version of the iPhone? I do still have a 3G and it is so slow, that I can't even play my Pong Remake on the Phone.

Which IOS Version have you installed? On older Firmware version, the HTML5 support is really bad, you should run the latest version available.

I assume you mean 3GS, as you can't upgrade the 3G further than 4.2.1.
As the phone is really old, I do think that it might have the same problems with HTML5 as my 3G. But someone who has a 3GS might be able to validate my assumption.
