well, i figured out a simple way to make a soft bodied object, using only hinges and set force. it works pretty damn well and it reminds me of loco roco very much ^_^

That's a fine way to do it. Only issue is, it's kinda easy to squish it to the point it gets tied up within itself.

tieing up can happen in a spring system 2 though, just depends on what youre doing to it

I guess maybe you could figure out where the limit should be. Once it is squished to that limit, stop applying any force or whatever.

yea, compare two initial positions of every pair, parallel to each other on the circle, and if any are tooo close stop the force

Nice blob! I tried making one back in the day but gave up because it was proving to be too much work. I made a ring like yours, but I was looking for more stability so it wouldn't fold in on itself. If you're looking to make a more stable blob, you might want to check out this article, it has some good ideas:

ive seen that article before when reading up on verlet int, but i had lost it, was actually looking for it though.

im trying those for sure when we get springs, but the disadvantage to these is things can pass right through the holes, meaning it can slide through thin objects

Yeah, springs and that pairing object looks like just the ticket for making some cool blobs.

This example doesn't work correctly in 99.97 anymore... The rubber parts simply fly out of the screen very fast  .
