*[SOLVED]*How do I hide things in shadows using ShadowCaster

Get help using Construct 2

Using the "Shadows - penumbra" example that comes with r170, how would I 'hide' things when in darkness?

Say i wanted to hide a monster where the red X is only to show when it was in the light.

It's ok, I think i have it. Create another layer (with monster) underneath the main layer and make the main payer Transparent. :)

That seems to only half work. If you want the monster to cast shadows too then looses its colour.

I wondered about this too. I thought maybe I could use line of sight checks for on-screen objects and hide them, but I apparently don't know enough about the LoS behavior to make it work right. I can't get the event to trigger.

It seems a bit pointless to have shadows if you cant hide things in them :)
