[SOLVED]Walking NPC + interaction

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Sat Mar 30, 2013 10:00 pm

Hi all,

Firstly, I want to thank the creators of this incredible tool that is Construct 2.
My English is bad, so please excuse me, I'll do my best so that you can understand me.

At the moment, I'm trying to create a simple RPG.

I try to make the NPC walk into a determined movement pattern (left, bottom, right, top) so has to make the game a little more "alive".

Thanks to the Beviahor "MoveTo" I can make a NPC walk like I want, except that when the player talk with them, the NPC continues to walk and I want it to stop completely.

I can stop the NPC by using the "Stop" function of the MoveTo Beviahor, BUT if i do this, it will break the movement pattern of the NPC, and then the NPC will hit the solid objects, it will be weird ...

How do I do this?

Set up a boolean on the NPC.
If "Talking" is false, move randomly around.
If "Talking" is true, stop moving.

Just set Talking to false after they stop talking.

Why are you activating loads of old threads? The solution for this was never in .capx form.
