Sometimes construct fails to open properly

ive had this bug ever since ive started using Construct, basically i open it (im using vista) and then i see everyting but i cant clikc on any of the buttons, nothing responds (but it doesnt say not responding) and i have to task manager out of it and try again up to 10 times before i can get it to open right. its very weird

At a guess I'd say it's the updater failing to connect/being blocked, which would freeze the UI.

In a future build this should be fixed (update check should time out very quickly if blocked).

If you open

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Scirra\Construct.ini

And change the line that reads

UpdateCheck=1

to

UpdateCheck=0

That will turn off auto update checking. If that fixes it, then we know its definitely the update checker :)

there is no construct.ini???? also i just figured out its because it deosnt load application data at startup, when ever it deosnt work.

C:\Users\[color=#800000:3b59amht]Name[/color:3b59amht]\AppData\Roaming\Scirra

That's the Vista folder (Name is your own) and you'll need to show hidden files/folders to see it.
