"SONAR" Detected by Norton 2010

For questions about using Classic.

I decided to go on your website and see if there was a new version.
When I saw that there was, I downloaded it and Norton said that this file is safe. In a few seconds I was wondering why the setup was not running. Then, this window opened. I have used your program before and this has never happened. is there a way to fix it?

You could put it on an exceptions list. I find it hard to believe Ashley or the others would turn it into a virus, so it's probably just one of those cases where things can picked out as malicious when they're not. Rescan it with something like Kaspersky http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner and see what that comes up with.

Setups are often picked up as false positives, because they do a lot of file and registry stuff, and sometimes launch other executables (like our setup, which runs the DirectX updater and VC2005 redist).

I think your antivirus software is a little overzealous - you're going to have to override it.

I'd like to point out that Norton really, REALLY sucks. It's a paranoid system hog that won't keep you safe anyways.

It used to be good back in the Win95 days =(
