Sprite scaling for different resolutions

Get help using Construct 2

Hi all,

A quick question. When working with Corona SDK, I exported various sprite sizes that swapped out depending on device resolution.

I'm currently working on a Windows 8 title. I haven't seen anything about sprite replacement on different resolutions, so I was wondering what the recommended solution is? If it's to target a specific resolution - what would be recommended?

I'm currently working at 1280x800.

Many thanks.

We don't recommend using sprite swapping - see supporting multiple screen sizes. Draw your artwork for the highest resolution display, and use the fullscreen scaling options which will downscale it to fit lower-res devices.

Hello Scirra Developer,

How do you solve the problem with many different Android devices (resolution)?
Is there not Preformance problems when I draw my artwork for the highest resolution display for all Android devices (smartphones and tablets)
Why not sprite swap, it would make to improve the preformance?
