spritesheet max size

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Fri Jan 18, 2013 3:48 pm

Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I have a sprite object made of 4 * 256/256 sized frames.
But in export, Construct 2 generates 4 single PNGs, instead of a 512*512 spritesheet PNG.

The thing is, that it generate a proper spritesheet for little sprite object. I have another sprite object made of 4 * 64/64 pngs. And it actually generate a 256*256 spritesheet.

So I was wondering if there were a maximum size for the spritesheet.

We describe the spritesheeting process in detail in the blog post spritesheets in Construct 2.

One other thing is to prevent colour bleeding C2 adds a one pixel transparent gap between all images on a sprite sheet. So four 256x256 images won't actually fit on a single 512x512 sheet with the transparent gap.
