Suggestion: copy/paste from one Construct to Another

New releases and general discussions.

What I mean is if you have a company intro screen (Like the Konami one or something) you would be able to copy the layout from one running Construct to another.

The reason is that if you make really complex title layout(s) you'd have to have a master .cap to start working on your games from, or if you have a game in progress you'd have to reconstruct (lol no pun intendeed) the title layout.

Also, being able to copy/paste sprites from one running construct to another would be cool.

Agreed, I've found I need this - if I want cutscenes (with lots of huge images/sounds etc) but also want to send people gameplay betas for testing, theres no reason to have the cutscenes in the gameplay file when I send them it, all they do is increase the filesize, so if this was there you could have them in 2 separate .caps.

in that case you could just delete those cut scene layouts right?

true, but I'd rather have them in seperate caps, to save space aswell, since I have it set to save an insane amount of backups, and if each one is 6mb it adds up much faster than if they're about 1mb

Copy/pasting layouts is a bit of a glaring omission. I'll see if we can get it in the next build or two.
