[Suggestion] Flash Behavior Duration

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Maybe it's a missing feature, I would like to enter "0" in duration field to make it infinite.

Yeah that'd be a nice little feature. In the meantime you can toggle a boolean and set visibility.

You should be able to get around this by going "on flash ended" >> Flash

I think this kind of thing is problematic because sometimes 0 really is intended to mean "don't actually flash". For example if you flash for duration of score / 10, to flash longer the more your score is, you probably would rather it not flash at all when your score is 0 rather than flash forever. I think it would be better to have an infinity system expression.

@Ashley maybe I don't know much about javascript but wouldn't having an 'infinity' system expression be sort of... very very dangerous?

@sqiddster - infinity is a perfectly valid number state for floats in computing. There's nothing dangerous about it.

So did this ever happen because I could use an infinite flash right about now... Thanks guys for all your hard work.

Yes "Infinity" has been an expression for a long time.
