[Suggestion for the]Timer behavior

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Mon Jul 01, 2013 6:40 pm

The timer behavior has an expression for the number of seconds since the named timer was started.

Would it be possible to get the number, or index of what ever length of timer you added, rather than the number of seconds?

@newt,

I don't know if it's what you're looking for, but when I want a tagged timer, I simple make a Global variable to show on my debugg system, and I start/stop the count where necessary.

You could use it as instance variable too, so, every instance of one object will have their own timer, needing only pick them by UID, IID or another instance variable as index.

@TELLES0808
You could simply add a condition to add to an instance variable when the behavior is triggered, but the use of an instance variable seems silly compared to changing it to run off of the users setting rather than seconds.

Added to the todo list, it's a small change so will try to add for the next build.
