Suggestion - Import animation folders

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Thu Apr 12, 2012 6:46 pm

Hi Ashley,

Will it be possible to import animation folders to the animation panel?

Eg:

I have a folder containing sub folders, with the names, eating, sleeping, running, etc each one of these folders has some about 10 images in.
I 20 such folders. I takes quite some time to create an animation, rename it, and add the images.

Would be awesome to just select the root, and C2 imports all the folders, creating animations according to the name of the folder, and adding the images.

Regards

Moved from 'Website issues' to 'Construct 2 general'.

Thanks for the feedback, we have a long todo list but your idea has been noted!

yeb, good idea, import one by one sprites take too long time, maybe name the sprites to 1, 2, 3, 4 and put it in one folder together then import this folder to the animation panel.

@farsmile90: in the "Animation frames bar"

You can right click and "Import frames".
The dialog that opens allow you to select multiple image files at once.

It's not as straight forward as an import that would name the animations accordingly to folders, but it helps importing a set of images in a single selection.Kyatric2012-04-17 07:51:05

I have the exact same problem. Has JACLEMGO's suggestion been implemented?
