[Suggestion] Small improvement for Particles

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Is it possible to implement new action to particles - "Load image from URL" as in sprite object ?
Would be helpful.

We get more feature requests than we can deal with, so if you're making a suggestion you should describe a really good use case that shows how it's important and why it should be prioritised over other things.

Ooh, that's a really good point. It might murder performance, but if handled delicately, having the ability to change particle sprites on-the-fly is a nice workaround to the limits of the particle object for those people who want them.

Of course, the question is: would this affect all particles currently in the system, or only those as they're generated (to make a random particle generator, for example).

currently you can use ONE tiled object but different instanses can use different graphic )))

like here

I wonder that peoples didn't know about this

And this NOT kill the performance. I test a lot this feature with lot of sprite objectsKurz2014-02-05 15:20:04

Having a lot of tiled background instances slows down a lot of systems.

What's with the tiled backgrounds? I thought this was about particle effects.

If you want to animate particles, just use sprites instead.
