Suggestion:Layer roll

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Would be great if we could roll each layer to repeat them, like the technique used in old cartoons. I think its in adobe after effects, in which they turn an image into a repeated tile, and basically given a speed of scrolling.

Now before any of you post a event method, i am asking for it as a feature for the property or a behavior. Thanks

This is a nice idea. I've added it to the todo list, but please note we already have a very long work queue so it may be a while before we get round to it!

There is a relatively simple way to do this manually:

on start of layout: tiledbackground: set originalX to self X

every tick: tiledbackground: move forward speed * dt

if self.X > self.originalX + tilewidth
set X to self.originalX

where 'tilewidth' is the width of the source image of the tiledbackground.
