"talking mouth"

In adventure games you see a mouth (sometimes randomly) "talking", when the character's text (balloon) appears.
Could this be implemented?

I don't see why not, just use the random function to go to a particular frame or animation.

of course this can be implemented! :mrgreen: just make your character have a talking animation. Or if you want random frames (which will probably look weird..) then just use the random(x) function to select a frame. (as newt mentioned)

This is more of a graphic thing than a coding thing, although you need to handle it through code of course. You would need some images representing parts of the speech.. check here -

Once you have your images..

1) randomly select an image
2) assign a random duration for that image to stay showing
3) repeat..
It does look quite convincing when it's done right.
