Text object variables bug

For questions about using Classic.

I think i found a bug within the text object.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Give a text object some private variables
2. Add the same text object in a family
Consequence: that family's private variables no longer work properly in the events.

Here's a cap: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/52670878/Text%20Bug.cap
The event where it says "Blue: "test" is equal to 0" doesn't trigger even tho the text's(which is in family Blue) variable "test" is 0.

That's not a text object bug, but a family issue. You need to manage all private variables of a family from within the family manager, and even then it makes problems sometimes. I don't know any workaround besides deleting all pv, re-creating them in the family manager and hoping for the best...

I just tried that but the bug persisted. I thought it was a text object bug because families' pvs work fine with sprites and other objects.

Nevertheless I found my workaround: I'll use sprites with pics of text instead of actual text.
Thanks anyway!

thats why i dont use families. Especialy as they can be replaced with oher methods. But shame, really as the custom made methods are much more timeconsuming.
