The Business license

From the manual:

"Unless a license is purchased for an organisation, the license is for the individual rather than their computer. This means you can use your licensed copy of Construct 2 on as many computers as you like, so long as you are the only one using it. Other people must buy their own license. Remember Construct 2 can be used as portable software (see Installing Construct 2). You can put your license file in the install directory on a removable drive and take your licensed copy of Construct 2 to any computer."

So if i have a business license, i can use it in more than one computer. right!

Right. Construct 2 license is not limited to any computers, only to your person / organization. Doesn't matter what computer you use.

And as C2 is portable you can install it on a USB key and use it from any device that would read the key.

Just as long as it is YOU who is using the software.

Just to clarify: the quote starts with "Unless a license is purchased for an organisation". There are two ways to use a business license:

1) issue it in your name, so you can use it on any machine but only you can use it, or

2) issue it in the name of your organisation, so anyone can use it, but only on one machine.

In my case,

We as an organization bought a business licence with the name and email of our manager, but he doesn't use it. I'm the one using it all the time to create games

so what is right and wrong in this case? taking in accout that the games we creating should be published with the name of organization

The license should be in your name, not in the manager's.

Send an email to licensehelpova@scirra.com with the ID of the payment the current name and email that the license is attributed to and the new name and email to attribute to.

I think that should do it but Tom will confirm it.

Does it depend on the computer MAC address, if yes, so what is the difference between putting my name or my manager name. if no, so where is the name (mine, my manager one or the company one) will appear?

Please help me with that i can't get it.

I read this topic again. Now, since it is a business license, the license is issued to your manager (in his name).

That's what you did, but the problem is that the manager is not the one using the software.

If you'd like to use C2 on more than one computer, but you (mina) is the only person working on C2, then the license should rather be in your name than your manager's.

This way, you're using the license as intended.

But if you're not the only person to have to use C2 than you have the second option:

) issue it in the name of your organisation, so anyone can use it, but only on one machine.

Change the name of the license, to the name of the organization.

You'll have C2 installed on one and only one computer, but anyone in the organization can use it.
