Started making this game in VB early 2003..
A complete vb verision exists with 80 lvls level editor, replay maker, editable tilesets and sfx/music.

Gonna try now to remake the game with Construct, and after only 3 days of casual composing I think a demo should do fine.

(I really want everything to work before I start maching 80 lvls into it :-D)
Please leave comments about bugs or ideas.
Move with arrows, restart by pressing "R", grab all flowers and reach Exit (E).

Some screenies, first the current demo, followed by screens from the vb version. I will most likely use alot of gfx from them.

Ty! Was worried for a while something was wrong with my mediafire link. =)

Currently I'm torn between two approaches to proceed:

1. Create a new layout for each level.

2. Use the same layout for all levels with some way to store the level data

If I go with approach nr.1, it would be a good thing to have all objects added without actually copying them "80 somewhat" times, I understand "global values" isnt the way to go if they are to reset, any ideas?
This idea should be less heavy on the game, just a little trickier to edit levels and such, unless I also make a ingame level editor.

Idea nr.2 should be way better since the same gfx will be used in all levels (will add additional animations for each tileset), I'm not sure how to do that atm. :?
This idea makes it easier to just cram all the levels in there, layout by layout. But post edits and extra features risk getting messed up.

Sort of thinking out loud here. =)

Personally, I'd go for 1st option, but I don't want to give you bad advice. The game I'm currently working on has only 10 levels - 10 layouts. Each background for each level is loaded from an external file. I don't use an editor, since there are only 10 levels, but if I had to make 80, i'd probably use an editor(ok, scratch that, I'd use an editor for sure :) ).
So my advice is - make, or use someone else's level editor and to whether to use one layout or 80? I don't know, to make only one for all sounds better, but I've never tried that.
Maybe someone more experienced will answer.
