Hello fellow programmers!

I am Satellite23. I am a young, hobbyist programmer. I have used GameMaker for years and years (at least a decade), so I understand how to make fun, accessible games. I took one year of a Java class, and I have experimented with that on my own time.

I've never been involved with any serious projects. I just like designing games for fun.

Anyways, I heard many great things about Construct, so I decided to download the free version and start using. So far, I really like it. Reminds me a little bit like GM, which I am an expert at using.

Alright, I just spent about three hours working on my first Construct project. It's a little Pong-type thing. No purpose, no goal, no end, just really simple stuff to get my feet wet. A similar project was also my first for Gamemaker when I started getting into it again about 4-5 years ago.

Is there anywhere I can post the game so you guys can play it? I don't know if I should upload it to the site because it's not a real game, just a little thing I made. Wouldn't want to use the bandwith for a piece of junk.

Anyways, thanks for reading this, and I hope to start using construct to make better, cooler games!

Hello all!

I recently purchased a personal licence of Construct 2 and look forward to getting started using it. I tried to register for the forums and found out I was still linked to them with the same email from many years ago. At least seven or so! Crazy! I did try using Construct Classic when it was the main thing being offered when I was a teenager as I preferred it to Game Maker.

Once Unity was multiplatform I sort of went on to that but I just got a a volunteer gig working with kids at one of my local Hospitals (I'm now 21 that's how long it's been!) and one of the things I offered to do was Animate the kids drawings in Spriter and add to them and make interactive environments for the kids to literally play their drawings.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello (again) and say I look forward to meeting some of you and actually meeting some of you again. It's been a long time so I don't really remember how to use Construct, and I've never even opened 2 up even after purchasing it. But I look forward to making some games and having some ideas come to life! See you guys around!

- Isaac

P.S. I do a lot of Orchestral music now a days. Have been for awhile now. If anyone needs some strings or piano for their games please let me know and I'll try to work something out for you. ;)
You can check out my Soundcloud here and use most of the tracks already made as it is, I have about 50:

Hello Construct 2 Forums!

I have recently been trying out Construct 2 and just purchased the personal edition. I have been creating art for video games for several years. I started making an app with Construct 2's free edition but reached its limitations (100 events). I'm hoping the personal edition will be everything I need to make my current project and many more!

I'm Fred and i'm french. I've discovered Construct few months ago with Construct Classic and i really love to work on it.
I've read a lot of tutorials and start to make a first small platformer game. Construct is just so great to unleash every type of creativity!!
Sorry for my bad english.

Huzzah n' Bacon! Tis the Duke of J, but you can call me Jake. I'm a Moving Image Arts student looking to get into video game design. I'm basically an avid gamer with dreams of creating his own IP someday. Yeah, I know. Such a lowly origin story from someone who calls himself a Duke. Well I'm not Batman, so deal. :P Anyways, I'm looking to get my feet wet and heard good things about Construct. Here's hoping I can keep my ADD in check long enough to actually be productive. :) Don't stop dreaming!

Heeeeeeello from Mauritius!!!

Don't worry, you'll hear from it more often from now on.. LOL...

Err.. The saying goes like that: leave no stones unturned...
And Construct 2 was just probably hiding under that stone I didn't bother looking at.. My mistake.. Started with many other game engines.. even with the big 3D guys.. but Construct 2 had just the stuffs this kid ever needed to make his first game ever..

My salute to the creators of Construct 2 and just.. everybody involved in here..

Ok.. I'm gonna try getting myself useful now..

Cheers ;)
