The "perfect" Construct 3

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Construct 2 is almost perfect in 2D game making and sooner it will improve but If Construct 3 is made, I think it is better to make it 3D or at least near like 2.5D. It will be great if it has the same great event system of 2D's. Looking forward for Construct 3 XD

The only thing I'm really looking forward to in Construct 3 is for it to work on Mac! :)

I'm sure you get this all the time, but is there any sign of release date? Desperate to work properly on it. I've got Windows running on my Mac, but it's no where near a perfect solution.

Why are people suggesting 3D? It's Scirra guys, they're small, and making a product into something that it isn't what it's suppose to be focused on is a terrible idea and a even more terrible thing to actually execute it.

They've gotta make it the best 2D video-game developer tool. Not the the best one overall.

I agree with you 100%!

I agree with you too, @Usman Haq, but it would be very nice some support to 2.5, that is a improved 2D than seems like 3D (Clash of Clans).

2.5D is the maximum Scirra should go for and only after they finished every other feature to make Construct 3 the best 2D engine out there. Don't ask them to ruin their work. Because including 3D with such small team basically means that. They would have to rewrite the whole engine, the editor, etc.. It's not as simple as "adding vector support and done".

@Ashley many apologies. The title of the video was misleading. This is the correct Bret Victor (He worked on Swift a bit) video where you can see the programing environment and how approachable it is. Jump to 7:00m to get the first glance. I'm still up for sending some BTC :)

ps. We still have a broken Linux and MAC export since NWjs is bugged (fails to load, red bar) for those platforms for ages.

Native or better export options are #1 on my wishlist by far. No way to export to consoles (Wii U excepted) is the biggest C2 flaw IMO.
Better options for isometric games is #2 (on my wishlist).

@Rable, I agree with you. I wish we could export to PS4.
