Tile spacing when exporting

Get help using Construct 2

Hi!

I have some big problems when it comes to exporting my game. The game is inspired by "Terraria" and is made up by blocks that you can dig. There is only one problem; there is a small space between the tiles. I read a forum post where Ashley explained what could be done in order to fix this. I changed my properties to Point sampling and enabled pixel rounding, but the problem is still there.

I have no big understanding of technical things, but it must be something that happens when you export the game because it looks normal in the preview.

Any clues on how to fix this?
Would be very grateful for answer!

Best regards (and a happy new year!!!) from Eivind Lervik in Norway

If I remember correctly, you may need to update your graphics card drivers. It's probably that, cause I don't see any gaps in your tiles.

Hmm... now I am very confused....

Thanks for the help by the way. My graphix card was up to date. But, something funny happened now. When i try the game in Google Chrome, there are tile spacing, but in Internet Explorer the game function exactly as it should!

I thought it did not matter in what browser I that ran the game, but apparently it does matter.

What was the browser You viewed my game in?

That was wierd... Well, good to know it works!

But, do you know why my Google Chrome display spaces between the tiles?
It is wierd that you got it to work in your Google Chrome, i I can not. It works in my other browsers.

Any clues?

Working fine in Chrome for me too. Try pressing CTRL+0 on your keyboard - this will reset the zoom level in Chrome. I noticed that I could get some gaps to appear if I zoomed in.

The only other way I could get gaps to appear is when I shrunk my window down to around 400x200 (not sure if this is related to the size of the sprites or a rounding error with the pixels) - Are you testing this on a mobile device or a desktop?

(By the way, cool game. Not sure where the music is from but it's very catchy )boolean2012-12-31 14:08:17

Thanks! I composed the music myself. It is somthing i do with all my games
I play this game on my desktop. I checked, and I play the game on 100% zoom. (CTRL+0) I also checked if the game worked on firefox and there were still gaps between the tiles. Whats wierd, is that there are no gaps in Opera and Internet Explorer.

I have another computer that i am going to test my game on to see if the promlem is there as well.EivindLervik2012-12-31 15:00:42

I tested it in my other computer, and i worked great! It looks like i have to make the game on "Computer 1" and test it on "Computer 2"

Can't wait to finish my games now! This was the only thing that held me back for finishing my games: I was not sure i could export them so other people could play. But, now that it works, I am going to work hard and finish them!

Thanks a lot guys! You have been very helpful!

A great thanks and a happy new year from Eivind Lervik
