Hello again.

Started porting a little platform game I started to Construct 2. I've added quite a bit in a little time and would like to see how the player handles and controls.

TRY IT HERE - 6th Nov 2011

Old vid of the Construct Classic version is Here

Controls are the standard C2 controls arrows move - Shift Jump.

You can't die yet so just throw yourself around the level.

It's a good base.
Controls are responding, needs a bit to get the hang of it though.

Nevertheless I managed in going up to the "blue" end of the level (which, funny enough, was the room playing when I actually exited the CC version video ^^)
New to Construct ? Where to start

Really cool game!

I think the controls are a little stiff tho, I ended up missing a lot of jumps.. but I think that's something you get used to.

What, Minor is around again?!? Great!

I remember that project quite fondly.

To me it seemed that your C2 version needs some movement tweaking. More acceleration/deceleration, for a more direct response to the player's key presses. Also I think the jumping is too "vertical", if that makes sense.

It's generally a little tricky to get the C2 Platform behavior to act exactly like it did with CC. Also there's no jump sustain so far. Well, you'll figure it out.

Cool! It feels very much like Montezuma's Revenge (the good kind).
