tip of the day

New releases and general discussions.

Might be useful if you could enable a tip of the day type thing, were you get a tip or something when you open up Construct.
Would help you know about features you don't even know exist for example, or objects you haven't really tried.

Personally, I always found TOTDs [u:1bqfggif] EXTREMELY  [/size:1bqfggif][/color:1bqfggif][/u:1bqfggif] annoying. Almost as annoying, in fact, as that super-emphasized text. If you do implement it, make sure it's very simple to turn off.

While a TOTD may be cool to have I think that there may be more important things to code at this point. If you read through the wiki and the forums you will find a bunch of cool stuff.

They usually have a 'click if you don't want to see this again' thing.

Usually, but I've used too many programs where that doesn't work, and you're forced to click it away every time the app starts.

I really like the idea; there's drop in tip of the day code that could get this done quickly, too.

That'd be the perfect place to put all the 'Hidden Features' stuff.

Construct is quite complex and over time it'll get more and more complex thanks to new features, etc. - learning something new here and there just by opening up the app is a nice thing. And yeah, there should be a checkbox to hide it forever, but this would definitely be a nice feature, especially for those that don't check the forums regularly.
