Top View Roadway

I'm thinking of creating a Pacman game. I was going to use a street sweeper theme and have him sweep up trash off the road instead of running over those silly dots. So anyway, here's what I came up with for a roadway. Is there a better way to handle the yellow and white lines in the corners?

its nice, but roads dont really corner like that, they usually bend in arcs (quarter circles)

i think it'd be interesting to try breaking away from the pacman standards -- make the game your own :)
