TowerClimb is my entry for the Gamejolt rogue competition.

It's a fairly expansive procedurally generated roguelike/platformer, with permadeath.

The objective? To climb. You are yet another man with a dream of reaching the top of the tower.

Nice game! The highest I've gotten so far is 808 feet, then I was torn apart by giant evil fishes.

I got past three or four areas and when I went in a door the game crashed :(

Really nice game, though :). I love the music, it's very nice. The controls are also really smooth.

I've gotten to a part where I apparently need to flee downwards. The most recent time I got killed by a centipede sticking out of the ground (or whatever it is), but I had a revive potion so 'no biggie' I thought (I also had enough gems to buy another one). So upon respawning I immediately when to the side and dropped of a ledge, but somehow the centipede still killed me, even though I was nowhere near it (although I did get moved to the centipede when I died). Might want to check that, felt buggy.

Current highest height: 1423 ft. ( I will get to the top!)

Edit: Oh yeah, the different names on the little guy is a nice touch.

revive potions are pretty buggy right now, and they dont revive in alot of cases. dav had to rush it out for the deadline, and with all the content and possibilities packed into it theres a lot of lower priority bugs that he didn't have time to fix. that worm one being one of them. the variable that attaches the collision box to a specific worm/fish ect isn't reset when the potion activates.

wow, awesome as always Davio.

However, it's a tad annoying to arrive on a level where everything is too high to climb and the sidewalls are also blocked =/ did I miss any way to get over that?

because I did miss the dog-looking thing mechanic at first and got stuck at a place with dogs on each side. Now I just wait for them to fall asleep.

Loving the game mechanics!
