Trouble with the "System: Wait" Action

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Tue Apr 09, 2013 7:16 pm

I'm trying to get a death animation to play back along with a sound, and I'm using the "System: Wait" action to delay "Destroy" until after the animation's finished, but Wait is causing the sound to play back multiple times simultaneously. The event goes:

Enemy Health <= 0:
     Spawn Explosion
     Set animation to enemy death (play from beginning)
     Play enemy death sound
     Wait 0.2 seconds
     Destroy

I thought moving the sound to the end of the list might fix it, but that did nothing. I'm just doing audio on this game, so I'm a total noob. Little help?

You should use the "On Finished" animation event and put the destroy as an action of this event

and/or, put on the conditions the "run once while true", it's on the system sub selection menu.

"Trigger once while true" is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks a lot!
