so ..now we have C2 Local storage
@Ashley , @ScirraTeam can we have also HTML5 Local Storage?

because these two actions are not the same...

Please,.. do (at least ) C2 capable to get Local Storage keys from domain..

after additional testing.. I noticed that this actually works in Firefox..but fail in Chrome/Chomium & IE..

The webstorage actually uses local storage and session storage, check the deprecated plugins.

I agree this "local storage" name thingy became even more confusing than it was in the past.

the current "local storage" plugin uses the indexedDB IIRC, seriously, can't they have chosen a more convenient naming convention?
Game design is all about decomposing the core of your game so it becomes simple instructions.

The old WebStorage plugin used the localStorage/sessionStorage API, but browser vendors plan to remove it, so we won't bring it back. The new storage plugin (called Local Storage in C2 - yep kinda confusing sorry :P) uses IndexedDB internally.

@Ashley do you have any link with info about browsers removing support for local and session storage? My Google fu is failing me.

They already removed support for it from Chrome apps/extensions, and generally all synchronous APIs are now frowned upon especially when asynchronous APIs already exist (which IndexedDB is), so I think they will remove it as soon as the usage falls to a low enough level.
