  • The tutorials system has been upgraded.

    • New search feature (not much to search for at the moment but this will become more useful in the future) Has auto complete and function to overide searches to be more useful
    • Clearer presentation of tutorials to read
    • Clearer presentation of tutorials themselves
    • Submit a tutorial auto save fixed
    • Added escape characters for plain text, use [ * ] (no spaces) and [#]. Escape is not required for code blocks
    • Page breaks in tutorials, use 10 equals signs ========== and the tutorial will split onto multiple pages
    • New page listing all tutorials
    • Paging on tutorial lists
    • Bug fixes in formatting a tutorial

We want the tutorials system to be a focal part of the site, it was lacking before but this update should give significant improvements.

The beginners tutorial shows the new features. Also try out some popular searches.

  • Good job on all of this. The tutorial part looks really pro now and hopefuly more and more users will write useful tuts for the community.

    All hails to the Tom <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Found a bug ;-) Remove the text from the search box and press 'Search tutorials!'

    "Attempted to divide by zero."

  • hail tom...this is CONSTRUCT!!!

  • Thanks for bug, will be fixed on next upload

  • Are there any plans for seperating C2, CC, and Non-specific tutorials into different searches/sections in future? I think it'd be more useful for new users who want to find tutorials for the Construct they use.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Not at the moment but yes eventually. For now simply tag Construct Classic tutorials 'Construct-Classic' and Construct 2 ones 'Construct-2', I'll figure out a way to separate them soon!
