Typewriter text effect?

I'm still missing something @ashley. I put the (4) text choices in a family and added the family to your expression. I hoped it would choose a random family member like it does when you use family in create. Unfortunately, nope - it just kept using the first text in the family.

I guess I don't understand your suggestion,
put the expression in a "pick random" event


The endgame is a random answer generator that uses the typewriter effect

When I click the object it only makes 1 letter visible instead of making 1 visible every 0.05s.

That's because triggers (anything with a green arrow) generally only run ONCE, meaning the subevent only gets triggered once and then stops.
A solution is to have variable, whether instance or global is up to you. On whatever event you want to trigger the text, just only set the variable to 1/true.

Copy the event as in from Ashley's example capx, except add a condition to check if variable = 1.
