Looks intentional to me; they're context sensitive.

"Left > Clicked > On Object"
"Create Object > On Layer > At Image Point"

Makes more sense than

"Object > Is Left > Clicked On"
"Create At Image Point > On Layer > Of Object"

As for the cancel button, it's because "done" took its place and the only logical place to put it is on the other end so you don't accidentally cancel.Tokinsom2013-06-27 18:17:23

"Imagine you're on a SWAT team, and you are holding a rifle, but this rifle is pointing towards you because sometimes the factory spit out a couple made pointing this way.
To be clear, there are some rifles made pointing to one way or another, and sometimes you get one pointing to you, and you can't choose which rifle will you fire at any given point.
The point is, would you fire it?"

I guarantee clicking cancel by accident won't blow your face off.

(I agree that the ok/cancel for obj. selection should be swapped though, but I never would've noticed if you didn't point it out. Also I'm pretty sure Ok/Done are always highlighted by default so just press enter.)Tokinsom2013-06-27 18:45:03

Gonna have to side with Tokinsom on this one. Context sensitive ordering is a better idea. "Mouse clicked Object" to "Spawn Object" is the same as apples to oranges.

While I've not had a problem with the way the UI is set up, I will say that swapping OK/Cancel would make sense. But like I said, I've never had a problem with the setup.

Closing as by design. The reason done/back are reversed is because in previous steps they say back/next, and it's more consistent with wizards to have them that way round. On the last step 'next' renames to 'done'.

What about the cancel button position?
It causes confusion to have it inconsistently placed.

When there are only two buttons you'd like to also have the cancel button on the left, is that it ?

I don't really see the confusion there.
Maybe you're just not using C2 enough to get used to this layout that makes sense since it is situational.

I don't think we're going to change anything here.
