The Unreal 3 engine is now free to use. This is an amazing engine. The shaders are blazing fast. PhsyX support is great. The map building tools are fantastic, terrain support, model support. This is a wet dream come true.

The licenses are pretty fair also. You should check them out (its not 100% free obviously, but damn near)

Wow, didn't expect that so early in the U3 engine life.

It is a great engine, ironically used worst by Epic in Unreal Tournament 3, with its painfully low-res textures after we were teased with the brilliantly rendered screenshots.

It's a great scalable engine that is one of the smoothest running but nicest looking at the moment. Batman Arkham Asylum is a recent game that uses it really well, especially with nice eye-candy its PhysX effects.

Wow, it looks like they even have an event-type system for creating actions and such. Though it appears to be node-based rather than line-by-line like Construct.

Yeah its a sweet engine for sure... Their material editor is simply awesome.

Yeah, once you are making more than $5000 profit they'll start taking a good chunk of it. Still really good considering what they give you.
