Hey just thought I'd share today's attempt at a physics based platformer

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3317708/physicsplatform/index.html

Press A to enable XBOX Pad or press any key on keyboard to use keys.

Keys:

Arrows - Move / Jump / Jetpack

A - fire

Controller:

Left Stick - Move

A - Jump

Left Trigger - Jetpack

Right Trigger - Slide

X - Fire Shuriken

I have zero intentions of making a Ninja game, I just got the graphic off TigSource.

I think the results are okay, it behaves well in a fully physics based environment, moving boxes around and such. And it controls quite tight, not too floaty or rigid.CrudeMik2012-10-22 12:22:51

Just noticed this runs like crap on my work PC, I need to take out the water physics I have in there to optimize.

@CrudeMik You should put in Keyboard controls too because a lot of people hasn't an Xbox controller (like me).

Updated to include Keyboard controls. I also turned off a load of WebGL effects to speed the game up.

Very cool, it reminds me of tghe controls of a game called Soldat ;] A competitive multiplayer game with those control schemes could be very fun.
