Use of Seeded Random Explanation?

For questions about using Classic.

Can someone tell me how to use a seeded random?

If I want to make a series of randomly placed nodes with a seeded random how would I go about that?

As I recall Lucid's 's' plugin does that.

Edit: alternately, you could save the result of a regular random to an array, then load that.

I think I may recall another plugin that allows seeded random
but the S plugin has a seeded random function.
if you've heard legends about how hard s is to use, fear not
the math functions are just as simple as the built in construct one

you just use the Seed Random Action
choose a seed, and then the series of random values you generate afterward will be the same next time you use the same seed
come to think of it, I think the seeding may actually seed the regular construct random as well, but the random function in s let's you choose a range of two values, to simplify the process

Check out the Perlin noise plug. It uses a seeded random which means if you set the seed to x number you will get the same output every time you use that number.
Plus it outputs to an array... basically every thing you need to create nodes at computer generated set positions.
