@Ashley , @Tom , @Iain, or anyone here on on the fourms.

I am making a kid friendly app and would like to use Admob on my app, so how do I go about implanting Admob to only show kid friendly adds?

Did some searching and came across these

Lines of code to display kid friendly adds
https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6223431?hl=en

Designed for Families
https://developer.android.com/distribute/googleplay/families/about.html

Designed for Families program requirements
https://play.google.com/about/families/

PS : Is there a way to add a feature to the Admob plugin to allow this?

The simple answer is, you make sure they are compliant yourself. You decide which ads are displayed in game so you make sure they meet the requirements. AdMob doesn't know if you've made a kid-friendly ad so I don't see how the plugin would check for this or why it would need to.

The admob panel you can configure the types of advertisements that are to be displayed.
On page generate revenue there is a menu with the option block ads and next to it has a menu and allow bloquer ads.
