Using USB controller

Does C2 support USB controllers? (ie: classic NES, etc) If so, what are some good resources to teach how to implement them into the game control behaviors?Rhindon2013-01-11 10:06:13

I have awesome buffalo SNES USB controllers which are good for 2D games, but Chrome doesn't recognize them so I can't use them (it only supports popular things generic xbox controllers etc.)

So when the time comes that I implement a USB controller for my game, don't test using Chrome? I assume IE and FF browsers are okay?

Thank you, Ashley. Is there a running list of which USB controllers (by brand or console type) that work beside the XBox 360?

in the future we will implement the vibration?

the xbox 360 gamepad works great, just missing the vibration to make it complete!

It depends entirely on the browser, and the supported controllers may be different between other browsers too.

It's not to do with what C2 supports, it's only to do with what each browser supports. I'm not sure what the exact support is which is why we just recommend the XBox 360 controller which we know to work. You could try looking up documentation for individual browsers.
