Video object with control

Get help using Construct 3!

Hi,

I want to play a video within my game, but it needs to allow the player to control the video (e.g. fast forward, pause, rewind, stop, etc). The default video object doesn't seem to provide any control buttons. Is there a way to set the video object to provide control buttons? Any third-party plug-in's I can use?

thanks,
Andy

If you don’t need audio, and the file size is small, you can rip each frame of the video to individual png files, then load them as animation frames in a sprite object. You can then create your own buttons to control frame-by-frame playback.

This won’t work for large videos though.
