A good reference of what we could make with Construct

No reason this couldn't be done. After seeing those I realized I need to step up my art to a new level!
I feel inspiration coursing through me. :D
I wonder what I'll make with this pent up inspiration?

Thanks for posting !

Wow, that's some good art :o

On the topic of videogame remakes, I'd really like to see Need for speed 3: Hot pursuit remade to today's standard of graphics, but keep the same soundtrack and game mechanics. That game was classy.

That was my initial thought too. But since they're remakes of old classic 2d games I'm thinking maybe they're just 2d games with kickin' graphics.

Seeing as how those are 2D digital paintings... I fail to see the need for 3D.

agreed. the biggest "remake" part would be high resolution graphics compared to the original small scale pixel art

They're definitely some beautiful paintings, but I'm not sure how well something like that would animate. You'd probably have to make some sacrifices to the style to get it to look natural.

linkman, i geuss you could use bone behavior for the mario one. the backdrops are pretty easy(to program, not paint haha). The zelda one would be tough to animate though.

The Zelda one is the main one I'm talking about, actually. But really, they'd all have to be animated by hand. That Mario animated using bones would probably look a little funky in that style. :P
