I can't deploy my game to the xbox one

Post » Fri Nov 10, 2017 9:34 pm

Hi there,

I am trying to deploy my game to the Xbox one and I can't seem to get it to work. This tutorial seems like a great way to pair the device with the xbox. However, When I push run, there is no pairing option it just gives me an error.

The error is saying that my version of windows SDK is not supported. Anybody else have a similar problem?

A few things :
- There's an official tutorial for this using C2/C3 : Using Xbox Live in UWP Apps.
- Get the latest Windows 10 SDK.
- In your Target Version of the SDK, make sure the very last digit is zero. Like what explained here.

@mammoth in vs2017 im having the same pairing issue, it never asks... did you ever resolve this issue? In vs2015 it popped up when "require authentication" was set to universal, but in 2017, im getting nothing.

Thanks!

I didn't get it resolved and gave up for the time being. Ill try again in the future though.

It would be nice to have a MS forum that is dedicated to stuff like this.

@mammoth Did you try what Cryptwalker suggested and follow this tutorial:
https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/9540/u ... n-uwp-apps

And edit the Target SDK in the .jsproj file, as I wrote here:
xbox-one-uwp-performance_p1147037?#p1147037

If you did the above and it still doesn't work, can you be more specific about where it goes wrong? Many people in this forum have gotten it to work.

But here is a Microsoft forum dedicated to Xbox Live dev:
