Vsync vs Timedelta

For questions about using Classic.

Post » Tue Feb 10, 2009 2:20 am

No matter how i change the timedelta it always speeds up the x scrolling on unlimited fps and on vsync it is to slow.

So where should i put the timedelta or not that it works fine on every fps ? : D

Has anyone had this problem ? How can it be fixed ; -)

I have read the wiki and found some timedelta examples but im still not getting it right.

here is the .cap with just the camera group

It's a little hard for me to get into other people's caps when there are no comments at all.

From what I've figured out, you should have a closer look at event 17 and its subevents 18+19 and at event 20 with the subevents 21+22.

When I put in TimeDelta there, it would act the same in VSYNC and UNLIMITED mode. At least it appeared to me that way.

Camera.x-((Camera.X-(Player.X-(200)))/(global('speed_dz')*(100*timedelta)))

or
Camera.x-((Camera.X-(Player.X-(200)))/(global('speed_dz')*timedelta))

It looks like this:

Camera.x-(((Camera.X-(Player.X-(200)))/(global('speed_dz')))*100*TimeDelta)
