Way to include non-construct file in app?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Tue May 01, 2012 12:14 am

Let's say I want to code my own simple HTML5/javascript file. Is there any way I can combine this file with a Construct2 phone app? For example, is there a way to modify the Phonegap export so an additional page is linked to? Thanks!

I'm really not sure about Phonegap myself, but I'm pretty sure this can all be done with plugins like the following:

Call Javascript plugin

Pode HTML pack

Hopefully others here will know better about Phonegap. I'm just not experienced with that one.

if you want more customization for phonegap it's better you use Eclipse, don't use phonegap website.

here more insight about phonegap limitation compared to manual way:

one of the best tutorial to follow in my opinion for phonegap:

@prinsukun, thanks for that extra info on Phonegap. I didn't realize porting to Android would be that simple, I thought it would involve a whole lot of re-coding in Eclipse.

I've actually used Eclipse in the past, trying various things out with Adobe Flex Builder. Seems like it won't be too tough for me to get used to this porting process.

I think the best way to do this is to use Pode's iframe plugin. You can just display your page in fullscreen using the iframe. Then you get to keep everything inside C2, and can still use PhoneGap Build.
