Weapon switching system with HUD

i came up with this:

i m very glad if somebody could improve it or give some tips about it

note that this is just an example.

arrows to move
space to fire
if you pass by the weapons they could be chosen in the numeric pad

0 unarmed
1 pistol
2 shotgun

i want to be able to prevent the player from shot if he is unarmed, any help are welcome.

create a variable can_shoot for each weapon when player pickes it up set the variable to true when there is no ammo roa new level set it back to false
