they won't work as win8 metro export uses ie10 which does not support opengl.

if you export as a desktop app through awesomium opengl should work fine

Thank you for the help. Are there any other restrictions on plug-ins that should not be used when creating a windows 8 app? For example, the Canvas plug-in...

canvas should work fine, but ultimately you will need to test hands on.

i am only using 3 plugins for movement and all work fine on ie10

Ask Microsoft to support WebGL; they are holding out from supporting it and it means our WebGL effects can't work. Nobody can be sure if they'll add "WebDX" in future, but it would still be difficult to get our WebGL shaders working with it (they'd all have to be rewritten).

More things IE10 doesn't support: Gamepad, User Media, and some aspects of the Browser object.

Microsoft is insane, well it's only for metro, otherwise Awesomium can use WebGL

Audio playback rate and custom cursors are notable incompatibilities we've run into. Generally everything works very well though.

Here's the official statement as to why Windows 8 Store apps (which use the same engine as IE10) do not support WebGL...
