Weird file size bloat bug..

I just added a few events and a small sprite, and all of a sudden the file size jumped from 300kb to 8.5MB!! :shock:

What could cause this?

Edit: it seems that every time I save, the file gets bigger - the progress bar hangs at 85% while the file gets bloated. crap, my last backup is pretty damn old.. :cry:

This is a known bug... hopefully will be fixed in the next build...

So there's no way to know what triggers it? if that's the case, there's no point working on my old backup since I won't know how to avoid it.. :x

I've stopped using Construct for now. Animation (set up and shrinking sprites), Sound and the file bug make it more work to create in Construct than elsewhere.

I think we've fixed this bug for 0.92, we'll try and release the update soon!

Sweet. i'm guessing it won't be able to un-bloat files though, eh? :P

I guess i'll wait for the update before I go on.

By the way, the exe created from a bloated file is normal-sized, but it's still an annoying bug.

I understand it was to do with families, but I don't know much more than that.

Rich, you're awesome. I removed all the families from my file and it's back to 300k!! :D
